“He talks about the last 20 years of Tottenham, and maybe even farther back, to my time. Are you arguing that the past 30 or 40 years of Tottenham Hotspur have been cancerous? “Daniel Levy is the only employee who has been there for the past 20 years, so I’d have to sit down and ask him what he meant.
“What are you trying to imply, the players have changed, the staff has changed, and they haven’t won anything? Is the chairman to blame? Is what he’s doing wrong?
“From what Daniel Levy has done, all I can infer is that he set out to try to purchase the best and bring in the greatest managers. He has Jose Mourinho in, and he has a winning track record. Conte is a proven winner, and for whatever reason, it hasn’t worked out for him. Sheringham said,
“I believe the atmosphere at Tottenham is completely off. Conte’s future is always in doubt. Will he stay? Does he leave?
He’s barely been there for two years, yet decisions concerning his future appear to be made every three months. He appears agitated, and you can’t have that because you need some kind of stability to feel like you’re in it for the long haul and that you want to make things right.
“Let him go and bring someone else in, if I were to respond to the question. “I’d let him leave right now and let Tim Sherwood, the visitor from yesterday, in. Would be. Tim Sherwood is a far better choice, in my opinion.
“As a football manager, he is a man who is clear about what he wants. He knows the game since he has played a few games and been fired. You can tell he understands how football works by listening to him speak. He can tell who is lying and who wants the ball based on their football mentality. Put him in charge and organize them.
